July 26, 2009, over 300 cyclists and volunteers will take to the road to raise funds and awareness for the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation. The 11th Annual Friends For Life Bike Rally, presented by Scotia Bank, is a six day bike rally from Toronto to Montreal. The volunteer-driven fundraiser began in 1998 when two friends challenged each other to cycle from Toronto to Montreal to support the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation. Since its inception, the event has raised over $6 million for people living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto. It is now the second largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser in Canada, and “as long as there’s a reason… there’s a ride. Please give generously.
