Ten thousand people hit the streets running on Sunday for the 12th annual Toronto Marathon, with two Canadians crossing the finish line first.
Some of the best runners in the world took part in the run which is considered a qualifying event for the famous Boston Marathon in April.
Crossing the finish line first was Vancouver's Anthony Skuce. He ran the 42-kilometre trek in two-hours and 34-minutes.

Saying he was "a little bit tired" after the marathon, Skuce was amazed at what he had accomplished.
"I can't believe I caught him at the top and passed him. It was just amazing," Skuce said.
His wife simply exclaimed "he's number one."
Toronto's Nicole Stephenson was the first of the women runners to cross the finish line with a time of two-hours and 47-minutes.
Stephenson said it felt "fantastic" to win the race.
"Today was just a long training run with a lot of company and encouragement," Stephenson said. "So it was a good time, it was fun."
Besides being an important step on the way towards competing in Boston, the Toronto Marathon is an important fundraiser for the Princess Margaret Hospital and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
