An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in Thursday's shooting at a North York apartment building that left one man dead and another man injured.

Shots rang out around 2:45 p.m. on Parvane Linkway in the Flemingdon Park area. When police officers responded to the scene they found two male victims.

One of the victims succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He had been shot in the head.

The other victim was rushed to the Sunnybrook Hospital's trauma centre with neck and chest wounds. He underwent emergency surgery Thursday afternoon and is expected to survive.

Both victims are believed to be in their 20s.

Police are looking for Daniel Nathaniel Abreha, 25. Arrest warrants for second degree murder and attempted murder have been issued, police said.

The suspect is described as:

  • Standing 5'10" tall;
  • Black; and
  • With a thin beard and dreadlocks.

He was last seen wearing all black clothing.

Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
