Police have released two images of a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a young man who was found in a subway train early Friday.
A TTC worker made the grisly discovery at about 1:30 a.m. in an empty subway car at Kennedy station on the Bloor-Danforth line.
The incident forced caused disruptions during the morning and afternoon commute, and riders were rerouted aboard shuttle buses to the Main Street station. Kennedy and Warden Stations were re-opened before noon, but Victoria Park station didn't reopen until about 4p.m.
Investigators believe the victim in his mid-20s was attacked on the train before it arrived at the Victoria Park station. He has not been identified.
After reviewing surveillance footage, detectives released grainy photographs of the suspect captured on surveillance camera.
Police said the perpetrator left the subway train and the Victoria Park station towards 30 Denton Ave. following the incident. Investigators believe a number of witnesses saw him leave and are asking them to come.
The suspect's age or race isn't known, but he has black hair and was wearing dark pants, a dark jacket with stripes down each arm and was carrying a light-coloured backpack.

Just four hours earlier, a man died after being shot in a separate incident.
At about 10 p.m. Thursday, emergency crews attended to a victim who had been shot in the stomach at an apartment building at 1340 Danforth Rd., in the Eglinton and Brimley area.
The victim, identified as 30-year-old Bradley Frank, died after being taken to Sunnybrook hospital.
The deaths mark Toronto's 17th and 18th homicides this year.
