Police are investigating Toronto's 19th homicide for the year after an unidentified man was found dead in his car early Saturday morning.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was found in a car just west of Jane Street on Wilson Avenue West, about four blocks from Hwy. 400. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene just after 3 a.m. by emergency crews.

This is the 10th shooting death in the city for 2007.

Police believe they know the victim's identity but have not released details about him. Homicide Squad officers are interviewing witnesses and retracing the victim's final moves.

Investigators believe the victim had been at the nearby 'Triple Star' bar and they want to speak to witnesses who may have seen something suspicious outside the bar.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS (8477).
