Three people died in overnight vehicle accidents which occurred in the city's east end and north of the GTA.

Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Warden Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East around midnight for one of the accidents. In that collision, a motorcyclist was thrown from his bike.

The Durham region resident was pronounced dead at the scene, the Toronto Star reported. No one else was reported injured in the incident.

North of the city about 30 minutes earlier, a man and woman died in a two-car collision.

The accident happened just south of Beaverton along Hwy. 12 around 11:30 p.m.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to the scene and found one man dead, the Star reported. The woman was rushed to Sunnybrook hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.

Two other passengers were hurt in the collision but their injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

None of the identities of the victims have been released while family members are notified.
