Police in Peel Region say two people are responsible for murdering a Filipina nanny in the Mississauga mansion where she was working.

Investigators said Friday they suspect robbery may have been the motive.

"We have an idea what happened and robbery is one of the real motives we're looking at," Peel homicide inspector Norm English told the Toronto Star. "More than one person is also being looked at."

Jocelyn Dulnuan, 27, was found dead in the basement of the Doulton Place home where she lived and worked on Oct 1. Investigators said they are still combing the house thoroughly for clues.

"We've only got one shot (search warrant) so we're being as thorough as possible," English said. "The entire house, inside and outside, remains a crime scene. But we expect to be finished next week."

The owners of the house have been cooperative, said English.

Few details have been released about how Dulnuan died as police are still looking to speak with people who might have information on the case. They are also hoping to reach out to people who might not be working in Canada legally.

Police said illegal workers shouldn't be worried about coming forward as investigators only want to speak to them about the case.
