A 13-year-old boy studying at the prestigious National Ballet School of Canada has been charged with sexually assaulting a number of students between the ages of 11 and 12.

Police say the alleged assaults took place between September 2006 and October 2007 on school property.

The suspect lives at the school, which attracts dancers from all over the world.

Police began their investigation this week after the Children's Aid Society received an anonymous call about the alleged abuse, the Toronto Star reported.

After interviewing students, they made an arrest.

The boy faces seven counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, and one count of invitation to sexual touching.

An official at the school told The Star the school has been in contact with the alleged victims' families. A psychologist is speaking with the children.

Investigators think there might be more victims who have not come forward. They are urging people with information to call 416-808-5105.
