Two men face 54 charges, including attempted murder, in a shooting last fall that caused a teenaged girl to lose her eye.

Police were called to an apartment building at 160 Chalkfarm Dr., near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue, at about 5 p.m. on Nov. 17.

Officers found a 16-year-old in the stairwell on the 17th floor who had been shot in the left hand, right forearm and left eye.

The victim was treated at hospital, but the damage to her eye was so severe, it was removed, police said.

On Tuesday, police announced they had arrested two young Toronto men.

Jamie Dixon and Deuvane Francis, both 24, face 54 charges, including:

  • Attempted murder while using a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Forcible confinement
