A brazen daylight drive-by shooting has left one man in hospital suffering from a leg injury.

Police say a group of people were shot at more than a dozen times while standing on Jane Street between Woolner Avenue and Haney Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

The man, who is believed to be in his 20s, was rushed to St. Michael's Hospital with non life-threatening injuries after being shot in the leg.

Witnesses report seeing a silver or grey car leaving the scene after the shooting.

The intersection was closed late Monday as police investigated the incident.
