York Regional Police say they are looking for up to 10 suspects after two teens were held at gunpoint and robbed inside their Markham home.

Investigators say the ordeal happened Tuesday evening when a man wearing a yellow safety vest knocked on the home's door. A 14-year-old boy, who was at home with his 19-year-old brother, answered the door only to have a gun pointed at his temple.

At that point, several other people burst into the home and began ransacking the house.

Both brothers were tied up in the basement. The older teen told police that at one point, he was able to break free but that he was kicked and hit with a crowbar.

The younger brother was eventually able to call police on a cellphone but by the time the authorities arrived, the suspects fled the scene.

The older brother is recovering after being treated for minor injuries.
