LINDSAY - Voters are making their way to a second day of advance polls for a byelection in the riding sought by Progressive Conservative Leader John Tory.

Tory has been without a seat since losing to Education Minister Kathleen Wynne in the 2007 provincial election.

A couple of NDP heavy hitters are making appearances in the riding of Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock this weekend to help their party's candidate.

Tonight, Howard Hampton will join Lyn Edwards at the fishbowl for a Lindsay Muskies hockey game, while federal NDP Leader Jack Layton was in Lindsay on Saturday shoring up support.

Also running are Jake Pothaar for the Family Coalition Party, Independent Jason Taylor, Bill Denby of the Freedom Party, the Green Party's Mike Schreiner and Liberal candidate Rick Johnson.

The byelection happens March 5.
