A Toronto man has been arrested and charged after a mother told police she was forced into prostitution and her young daughter was kidnapped.

Police say a three-year-old child was abducted and then used to coerce the mother into working as a prostitute.

The woman alleged that the suspect used her child to keep her from fleeing or calling police. She told police she was assaulted when she tried to leave.

Investigators say they believe there may be more victims and are urging the public to call authorities or Crime Stoppers if they have any information.

Tyrone Dillon, a west-end Toronto resident, is facing a slew of charges including procuring a person to become a prostitute, living on the avails of prostitution, assault, extortion, threatening death and abducting a person under 16 years of age.
