One month into the search for Victoria (Tori) Stafford, police have reportedly begun searching outside the home province of the missing Grade 3 girl from Woodstock, Ont.

Tori's mother, Tara McDonald, has told reporters that police have now searched the homes of her half-brother and his mother in Calgary.

"I don't know if I should even be mentioning it, but they searched his house and his mom's out there yesterday," McDonald told reporters gathered outside her home on Thursday afternoon.

McDonald shrugged off the searches, saying police are doing what they have to do in order to be thorough.

On Friday, however, Oxford Community Police Const. Laurie-Anne Maitland told ctvtoronto.ca that she could not confirm the searches in Calgary.

And a Calgary police spokesperson told ctvtoronto.ca that "we have not been involved in, nor are we aware of, any searches within the city."

Tori's mother has also recently said that police have seized her home computers.

McDonald believes that it is unlikely that Tori made any dangerous connections with someone through the Internet.

"The kids, both of them, we check who's on their list and it's friends and family members," McDonald said.

"She doesn't really talk to people on those games. She just does her thing and that's it."

No one has seen Tori in person since she left the grounds of Oliver Stephens Public School on April 8.

She was last seen wearing a skirt, a green shirt and a black Hannah Montana jacket with a fur-lined hood.

Tori was later seen on surveillance video, walking with an unidentified woman in the direction of her home the same day she disappeared.

Investigators describe the woman as being 19 to 25 years old, at least 5'1" tall and weighing about 125 pounds. She is believed to wear her long dark hair in a ponytail.

There has been rampant speculation about the identity of the mystery woman, but police have still not been able to identify who she is.

More recently, police released a video of a dark-coloured car -- described as a "vehicle of interest" -- they want to identify.

A $50,000 reward has been offered for information leading to arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Tori's abduction.

Her story has also been featured on America's Most Wanted.

The OPP have told local farmers to be "extra vigilant" to look for anything unusual or suspicious.
