Two people are recovering in hospital Monday after a late-night crash that police say may have been caused by a drunk driver.
A police officer who spoke with CTV Toronto said "everyone is lucky to be alive" after a Honda barrelled through a red light at Kingston Road and Morningside Drive at around 11:40 p.m., crashing into two minivans in the intersection.
Several people were treated at the scene for minor injuries but two people had to be transported to local hospitals. One woman had to have surgery on her leg.
The male driver of the Honda has been charged with impaired driving.
