What's the big mystery? The good forecasters from big networks like CNN and Foxnews have been saying since January that this is a La Nina year and we'd be having a moderate summer. The south is keeping all the heat that usually gets distributed north, that's why they're frying while we complain.

I'm very curious as to why the Canadian forecasters haven't mention any of this. Maybe they just aren't very good.

I'm extremely lucky to have gone to Greece for 16 days where the temperature was as high as 41C and even 50C on one of the islands so I've experienced enough heat. Being a teacher, I still have another month so I do hope we get some decent weather so I can enjoy beautiful Ontario cottage country before having to return to work.

I'm really enjoying this milder weather, as many of your other viewers have said.

I'd rather have a moderate summer than have countless heat waves, 40 degree plus humidexes, and no rain for our gardens. We should be thankful that we're not stuck in the extremes that many other areas are experiencing.

Despite the rain and cold temperatures(at times),I personally don't think that the Summer of 2009 is a bust.Let's hope that the month of August will make-up for June & July.Maybe,September will be good too!I don't have much of a tan,but then again...a lot of sunshine isn't really good for you.

The weather may be good but I personally believe it is reflecting environmental hhmmmms...hhmmmm....

Summer isn't a bust it's what you make of it that counts. Actually I thought it's been quite good temperature wise I don't like the high heat and humidity I love this cool weather temps are ideal between 18 and 24 degrees keep it up weatherman!

Come on people...suck it up already. Its a bit cooler and a bit wetter than usual. So what? Summer is what you make of it. Environmentally, this weather is helping us as there is no need for extreme air conditioning, the hydro grid is fine, there are no smog days to speak of, the humidity level is bearable and we don't have to waste water watering brown lawns. Think of the money you've saved just on energy and water bills. Maybe enough to warrant a trip down south this winter when we are stuck under mounds of snow? Is no one ever happy with Canadian weather? Personally, I love this weather and wish every summer was like this!
