A man who told a young woman he could pray for her has been charged with preying on her.

Police allege in a news release issued Wednesday that the suspect, posing as a minister, approached a 23-year-old woman in the Finch subway station on Sunday.

"The accused told the victim that he could pray for her. He then provided the victim with a prayer card and his telephone number," police said.

The suspect went to her home and is alleged to have sexually assaulted her there.

Det.-Sgt. Michael Grammatikos told ctvtoronto.ca that the suspect isn't registered as a minister, "but he has called himself a prophet and a person of God. So he's got no official title."

Lenworth Nathan Miller, 41, of Toronto has been charged with one count of sexual assault and had been scheduled to make a court appearance on Monday.

"Police believe there may be other victims," the release said.
