Peel Regional Police have announced an arrest in connection with a shooting death at a June 28 house party near Malton.

At 1:39 a.m., police responded to a shots-fired report at a home on Monica Drive.

They found 22-year-old Brampton resident Nicarno Anthony Wright. He had been fatally wounded. He is Peel region's 13th homicide victim of 2009.

On Wednesday, officers located a suspect at a hotel where he had been registered under an alias. "He was arrested without incident by members of the tactical unit. No further arrests are anticipated," Peel police said Thursday in a news release.

Neil Adrian Davis, 26, made a court appearance on Thursday to face a charge of first-degree murder. He was remanded in custody.
