One person is dead and another is in hospital with serious injuries after a violent altercation outside an Ajax stripmall late Wednesday night.
Police were called to the plaza, located at Salem and Kingston Roads, just before 11 p.m. after a fight broke out in the parking lot. When they arrived, authorities discovered two men had been stabbed.
The man who died is a 32-year-old Ajax resident.
Investigators revealed few details about the incident, including any details about the number of suspects police are looking for or if any arrests had been made.
However, an officer with Durham police told CTV Toronto there is "no public safety threat."
