I knew this day would come. It's like the Berlin Wall has fallen again, Oprah's rain of terror is nearly at an end!

Men of the world will once again be able to breathe a sigh of relief when sitting with their wives at the dinner table and not having to hear about what they saw on Oprah!

I have been watching Oprah since the 80's & will miss her shows like I miss seeing Dave Devall doing the weather :( however, I can tell that she seems to be struggling for content ideas since Dr. Phil is addressing personal issues & Dr. Oz is covering medical issues. Best to leave on a high note & move on to bigger & better things.
I just wish Sue Thomas FB-eye would get discontinued & bring back GH! Just sayin'.

Miss Oprah??? Most definitely NOT. I find that most daytime TV shows are not worth watching at all. They are a waste of time. Why do we have to wait until 2011 to see the end of her show. Why not end it now. I find very little worth watching either daytime or night. Get rid of the TV judge shows and reality shows in the evening as well. Lets bring back some "entertainment" type shows like Carol Burnett, Dean Martin or even Laugh-In. They were worth watching, and actually took some real effort to bring to the screen.

While I admire Oprah for what she has achieved as a woman in a tough industry and what she has done with her platform in terms of helping others I think it's time for a new chapter. I also know there are many who miss Canada's own Marilyn Denis on the TV airways and her natural talent just as much or more.

I will miss watching the Oprah Show! Most of her shows were very interesting and the stars that she would interview were fantastic to see or even hear when it came to musicians. Her magazines were interesting to read and I'd buy the occassional one from time to time.It was great that she opened the door to others such as Dr.Phil and now Dr.Oz.She did so much for others when it came to donations, giving gifts to people in her audience, etc. She was an inspiration to many people and I will miss watching her show! She will be missed.Good luck Oprah!

No I will not miss her, neither will my wife.

During your show at noon you didn't really listen to 2 people who didn't cry and praise her.

Firstly, anyone who has that much power, that they can make or break people is dangerous. Yes, there is an argument that she has done some good for the world, but she has done more good for herself and her corporation than anything else. As was apparent by one of your viewers comments, she has brainwashed all the younger generation into her beliefs, likes and dislikes.

Secondly, her show is entertainment that people try to sell as fact based news. Most of her shows sensationalise situations, frequently similar repeated biased stories, pushing her opinions on the matter at hand.

Finally, she, like many other entertainment talk shows, caters to the greed of the American "culture". Everyone gets a car, a TV, or books, DVD's and CDs. It sends out a negative and incorrect image about Americans, and their supposed quest for ultimate consumerism.

Although I watched her show for a while I dont anymore, so wont miss it. I would like to see some other shows taken off air as well. Too much of the same thing.so boring and mindless. I do enjoy Flashpoint each friday, at least its Canadian. As years go on TV has gone down hill for content, little variety to suit all age groups. Thank goodness for DVD's at least I can watch a decent movie.
