Peel Police have made another arrest in connection with what they call a botched home invasion that led to the murder of a Brampton homeowner.

Daniel Colacito, 36, was arrested at his Thornhill home last night. He will appear in court Saturday, where he will be charged with first degree murder.

George Kalogerakis, 38, died in hospital on Nov. 12 after officers found him tied up and suffering from a stab wound to his neck in his home near Dixie Rd. and Bovaird Dr. E.

Police are also looking for a 17-year-old.

Colacito is the fourth person arrested in connection with the murder.

Last Saturday, they arrested 18-year-old Isaac Kwakye and charged him with first degree murder. On Wednesday, they arrested Shevon Bailey, 21, and a 15-year-old boy, and also charged both with first degree murder.

Police say Kalogerakis was murdered in a home invasion that somehow went wrong.

The home is divided into rental units and a woman who lived there told police she came home and startled three suspects who were inside the home.

Police say the suspects may have deliberately targeted the victim, and that drugs somehow play a part in the incident.
