TORONTO Vince Carter gave Toronto Raptors fans even more reason to boo him Sunday.
The ex-Raptors star scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half, leading the Orlando Magic to a 104-96 win over Toronto.
J.J. Redick had 19 points while Dwight Howard added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Magic (11-3), who have beaten Toronto twice at the Air Canada Centre this season. The Raptors have won their other four home games.
Chris Bosh led the Raptors (6-8) with 22 points, while Jose Calderon added 16 and Hedo Turkoglu 12 against his former team. Andrea Bargnani had 11 points before fouling out with 4:15 left in the game.
The teams entered the fourth tied 76-76, but a 14-4 run to open the quarter gave the Magic a 10-point advantage. Toronto cut the deficit to six with 2:32 left, but couldn't close the gap any further.
Carter missed Orlando's first game of the season in Toronto because of a sprained left ankle that caused him to miss four games. He shot just 2-for-11 from the field in the first half, greeted by a chorus of boos each time he touched the ball.
After leading 28-22 through the opening quarter, Toronto built the advantage as high as 11 before the Magic rallied, taking the lead with 3:46 left in the quarter. Orlando led 50-49 at the half on Ryan Anderson's three-pointer with 1.6 seconds left.
