Toronto police have issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted for first-degree murder.

The murder charge stems from the death of a 24-year-old man earlier this month in the Keele Street and Finch Avenue area.

Kevin Phouthonesy was shot dead while sitting in his parked SUV with his girlfriend in front of a townhouse complex on Sentinel Road on Nov. 3.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite fervent attempts by paramedics to revive him for more than 20 minutes.

Three men were seen fleeing the area at the time of the shooting.

On Thursday police released the name and photo of a suspect wanted in connection with the case.

Robert Owen Cave, 20, is wanted for first-degree murder.

Police are warning the public to call 911 if they see or know the suspect as he is to be considered armed and dangerous.
