York Regional Police have one person in custody after officers discovered the lifeless body of a woman inside a Richmond Hill home late Tuesday night.
Officers were called to the home after receiving a call about a disturbance. The 48-year-old woman’s body was found inside an apartment on Weldrick Road.
Investigators are expected to stay at the scene throughout Wednesday collecting evidence and speaking to potential witnesses.
Police are releasing few details about the case but confirm a 52-year-old man was placed under arrest.
Efim Klimovich, of Richmond Hill, is charged with second-degree murder.
