A 60-year-old man is facing a murder charge after a woman's body was found in a Scarborough apartment early Friday afternoon.
Police were called to an apartment at 320 McCowan Rd., near Eglinton Ave. East, around 1 p.m. and found a woman with "apparent trauma to her body," according to a Toronto Police news release.
The victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has been identified as Michelle Quemener, 46, of Mississauga.
A post-mortem has yet to be scheduled.
Eugene Wong, 60, of Toronto has been charged with first-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall at 10 a.m. Saturday.
