Toronto police are investigating the city's latest homicide after the body of a 33-year-old man was found late Thursday night.

Const. Isabelle Cotton told ctvtoronto.ca that police were called to an apartment building at 4010 Lawrence Avenue East at approximately 10 p.m. last night.

The victim was found in an apartment hallway and there was obvious trauma to the body, Cotton said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been identified as Kevin Williams, 33. An autopsy will be performed on Sunday.

Police have been canvassing the area and are investigating the man's death.

Anyone who was in the area between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. last night is asked to call police, Cotton said.
