A Toronto man is in serious condition after being shot in the stomach Tuesday night.
Police discovered a bleeding man on Pengarth Court, near Lawrence Avenue and Allen Road around 11:40 p.m. He was rushed to Sunnybrook hospital for emergency surgery.
Authorities say they are not sure if the man, who is believed to be in his 20s, will survive his injuries.
Investigators spent the night searching the area for evidence. Shell casings were found a short distance away on Bagot Court, but no arrests have been made.
Police say the man may have been shot on Bagot Crt. and then made his way over to Pengarth. There are unconfirmed reports that he was found inside a car.
Video from security cameras that have been installed in the area are currently being reviewed by investigators.
