Halton Police are searching for a suspect after four banks were robbed in a roughly 90-minute period.
Two of the robberies occurred in Burlington on Monday, with two more following in Oakville.
Shortly before 1 p.m., a lone male entered the TD Canada Trust branch at 5000 New St. in Burlington. He gave a teller a note saying he had a weapon. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled on foot.
About 15 minutes later, a suspect entered the Bank of Nova Scotia branch at 3505 Upper Middle Rd. in Burlington.
Shortly after 2 p.m., a third bank was hit, this time a Bank of Montreal branch at 240 North Service Rd. in Oakville.
Ten minutes later, someone robbed the RBC branch at 1005 Speers Rd. in Oakville.
The suspect used the same technique on the next three banks as he did in the first robbery at the TD Canada Trust branch.
Police say no one was injured during the robberies.
They describe the suspect as being a black male in his late teens, and measuring 6'1" in height. They say he was wearing a dark baseball hat with a navy-and-white checkered hoodie and blue jeans.
