South Simcoe Police say they are continuing their search for a missing Bradford man who never returned from a routine morning walk with his dogs on July 19.

In a news release Tuesday, police said they will conduct a second air search in an area north and east of where Curtis Barry's dogs were found.

Motorists picked up the dogs not far from Barry's walking route.

On Wednesday, a ground search assisted by police dogs will be carried out in certain areas, they said.

But police also noted this: "(We) continue to investigate leads and follow-up on tips as reported by the public. To date there has been no sign of the whereabouts of Curtis Barry."

Barry is a 49-year-old father of four who works in Toronto for the TTC. He lives in Bradford, which is about a one-hour drive north of Toronto, sitting just east of Yonge Street.

He left home at 8 a.m. for a two-hour walk in an area with trails. When he hadn't returned by 4 p.m., his family contacted police.

Since then, crews have conducted ground and water searches. Officers have also canvassed local drivers.

Police say they have scaled back somewhat, but officers and civilian staff have continued the search on their own.

Barry is just over 6' tall. He has blue eyes and a moustache. He may have been wearing work boots.

Family members say it would be highly out of character for him to simply disappear.

"At this point we are hoping for the best, but expecting for the worst to happen," his wife Michelle Rothwell told CTV News on Monday.

"But we really need to find him. We won't give up until we find him."
