Police have identified the man who died Friday following a shooting near Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West as Nate Thompson, 26.
Thompson was shot in the head shortly before 3 p.m. on the sidewalk of a residential area. He was conscious and breathing when taken to hospital, but he died a few hours later.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 240 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater and jacket with white stripes on the sleeves.
