A fifth suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a Malton teen at a community centre earlier this month.

Adrian Ducas, 17, was at the Malton Community Centre on July 3 as two basketball games were being played.

Peel Police say several men arrived at the centre around 8:30 p.m. and began fighting with the victim.

Ducas was fatally wounded.

Earlier this month, police arrested Kevaughn Tulloch, 20, of Toronto, Maurice Raphael, 23, of Scarborough and Courtney Dawkins, 20, of Toronto and charged each with first degree murder. Cassandra Elizabeth Scavone, 20, of Toronto, has been charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

On Friday, July 30, police arrested Christopher Raphael, 20, of no fixed address. He was expected to be formally charged with first degree murder during a court appearance in Brampton on Saturday.

Peel Police ask anyone with information about the case to call the Homicide Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 3205 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
