Toronto police are investigating the city's latest homicide after a man was fatally stabbed on Friday night.

Police say they responded to a reported stabbing call in the Lansdowne Avenue and College Street area just after 11:30 p.m.

A 40-year-old man was found suffering from obvious stab wounds. While taken to hospital, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Two men have been arrested though no charges have been laid at present.

Anyone with information about "an altercation" in the area where the stabbing was reported is asked to call investigators at 416-808-7400.
