A number of residents of a home on Hollow Water First Nation were attacked by a group of suspects armed with baseball bats and sticks, said RCMP.
Witnesses said one of the victims had a small portion of a finger severed, which was located at the scene by officers, said RCMP.
Officers were called around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 to a home in the community, located about 200 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.
On Tuesday, police said they could not confirm any other injuries in the attack.
No charges have been laid yet.
Witnesses and residents are being interviewed and RCMP continue to investigate.
