BRACEBRIDGE, Ont. - Police have identified human remains found in Bracebridge, Ont., as a Toronto man and say he was murdered.

Ontario Provincial Police say a post-mortem has determined the remains are those of Paul Maasland, 55, who was reported missing to Toronto police on Monday.

The remains were discovered at a boat launch on Morrow Road in Bracebridge that same day.

Investigators say they believe Maasland was the victim of a murder.

Anyone with information about his activities on Sunday or Monday is asked to contact provincial police.

Maasland's vehicle, a blue 2009 Subaru Forester, was recovered Tuesday in the Mississauga, Ont., area.
