Someone Ontario has beaten the 28 million-to-one odds of winning Friday's massive Lotto Max jackpot.
There was just one winning ticket for the $50 million New Year's Eve jackpot. And it was sold somewhere in in the Greater Toronto Area.
The winning Lotto Max numbers were: 2, 7, 10, 22, 32, 34, & 38. Bonus 1.
Sarah Kiriliuk of Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. told The Canadian Press that this is the first $50 million jackpot to be won by a single Ontario ticket since Lotto Max launched in 2009.
It is the sixth time a $50 million jackpot has been won.
There were also 21 MaxMillions $1-million cash prizes up for grabs; eight winning tickets were sold.
Three winning MaxMillions tickets were sold in Ontario, and three were purchased on the Prairies. Two MaxMillions prizes will be split by ticket holders in Ontario and B.C., with each of the four tickets worth $500,000.
The jackpot for the next Lotto Max draw on Jan. 2nd will be an estimated $23 million. That draw will include the 13 Maxmillions not won in the Dec. 31 draw.
