A group of 19 Bell Canada call centre employees in Toronto has won a $50-million Lotto Max prize.

The winners went to work at their office building in Scarborough as is usual for a Monday, although one said "I'm trying to work, but they aren't letting me."

They found out at 2:30 a.m. Monday that they were taking home the $50-million pot -- or about $2.63 million each.

The winners have rented a limousine to officially claim their winnings on Wednesday. Their office lottery pool had only been in existence for four weeks.

Speaking to CTV Toronto, many of the winners said they planned to invest in their kids' education or buy new homes.

Some plan to stay at their jobs, while others are already clearing out their desks.

An Ontario Lottery and Gaming spokesperson confirmed a Scarborough retailer validated the ticket Monday morning.

The draw was made on Friday night. The winning Lotto Max numbers were: 2, 7, 10, 22, 32, 34, & 38. The bonus number was 1.

OLG officials have said it is the first time a single ticket sold in Ontario has won the $50-million jackpot since Lotto Max was launched in 2009.

This is the sixth $50-million jackpot in Lotto Max history.

Eight winning tickets were also sold for the 21 MaxMillions cash prizes up for grabs. Three winning tickets were sold in Ontario, and three others in the Prairies.

Two MaxMillions prizes will be split by ticket-holders in Ontario and B.C., with each of the four tickets worth $500,000.

The odds against winning the Lotto Max grand prize are 28 million to one.

This coming Friday's prize will be for $23 million. That total will include the $13 million in leftover MaxMillions prize money.
