An 18-month-old baby was found unharmed Monday night after the van she had been seated in was stolen from outside an Etobicoke, Ont. shop.

Police said the van was stolen from Bloor Street in west Toronto at around 8 p.m., after the child's father left it running as he stepped inside the store.

Police recovered the dark blue van parked near the House of Lancaster strip club on The Queensway and Royal York Road. The driver's side door was left ajar.

The baby was still strapped into the back seat. She was returned to her parents unharmed.
