Toronto resident Pierre Oliver Ellis, 23, is wanted for first-degree murder in the 2007 shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in Scarborough, police say.

In a statement issued Monday, police described Ellis as black, 5'9" tall with a medium build and black hair. He may be armed and should be considered dangerous.

Ellis is accused of killing Keyon Campbell on Dec. 2, 2007.

The 16-year-old was shot outside his home in the Finch and Morningside Avenues area, and succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to hospital.

Investigators said Campbell was known to police but he did not have a criminal record. It was the city's 80th murder of the year.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Det. Sgt. Hank Idsinga at 416-808-7392 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
