An Emergency Medical Service worker was rushed to Sunnybrook hospital after his vehicle collided with a tractor trailer on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at about 8:25 a.m. on Allen and Rimrock Roads.
Police say the 43-year-old driver was making a right out of EMS headquarters onto Allen Road before the collision occurred.
The worker, who was taken to hospital on a backboard, is in stable condition.
The intersection on Allen Road, south of Finch Avenue, was closed, causing significant traffic disruption in the area.
Allen's southbound lanes reopened at about 1:20 p.m., followed by the northbound lanes about 20 minutes later.
