SOUTHGATE TOWNSHIP, Ont. - Ontario police have charged a man with stealing an entire home.

Police say a Toronto-area man showed up at their detachment earlier this month in the central Ontario community of Dundalk to report his 10-year-old manufactured home was missing.

He said the 45-foot, double-wide home was stolen from his rural property in Southgate Township.

Police then found the building worth more than $30,000 on a nearby property.

Police say their investigation revealed that ownership documents were produced that were found to be fraudulent.

There is still no word on how the house was stolen.

Jeffrey LaForest of Southgate Township is charged with theft over $5,000, mischief, and uttering a forged document.

He is due in an Owen Sound court on July 21st.
