PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - A 60-year-old Toronto man has been charged in a boating accident that injured a 25-year-old woman.

Provincial police were called to a collision Saturday afternoon between a swimmer and a boat on Buckhorn Lake, north of Peterborough.

Officers were told a woman had been cut by a boat propeller while she was swimming with a friend.

The woman was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre where she was treated and released.

Michael Ziedins is charged with careless operation of a boat.
