OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Provincial police are hoping the fourth time is the charm as they begin to search a property in Owen Sound for signs of a young woman who went missing in 1988.

The property, located on 3rd Avenue East, was searched three times last fall as police scrounged for evidence linked to the disappearance of Lisa Leona Maas.

Maas was 22 and five months pregnant when she was last seen leaving the home of a male friend in Woodford, near Owen Sound.

Her car was found on a nearby rural road two days later, but no trace of her body has ever been located.

Police have a suspect in mind, but they say they can't prove their suspicions without a body or some kind of evidence of a killing.

Maas had separated from her husband and moved in with a boyfriend six months before she went missing, but police say neither man is considered a suspect.
