Southern Ontario's lottery luck continued on Friday when a group of 34 Toronto care home workers claimed a $15-million Lotto Max prize.

The group of nurses and staff members at Toronto's Seven Oaks care home received a lottery cheque on Friday. They had only been playing the lottery together for six months.

Once the $15 million in winnings is split amongst the group, each of the 34 claimants will receive nearly $500,000.

However, the group has no intention of leaving their jobs and some even went right back to work to celebrate, they told CTV News on Friday.

"Look at me, I'm young, I just started the profession of health care provider," one of the winners said. "I have no intention of retiring and I have no intention of quitting my job."

Earlier this month, two former Niagara Falls teachers claimed a Lotto 6-49 jackpot worth more than $1 million.

Another winning Lotto Max ticket was recently purchased by Richmond Hill, Ont. resident Vivian Leung. She took home a $22.5-million prize on June 23.

A Willowdale couple won a $15-million Lotto 6/49 in April and as many as three $50-million Lotto Max jackpots have also been awarded to people and groups in the Toronto area this year.
