A 30-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a minivan in the city's northwest end Sunday afternoon, police said.
Police said the man, who was driving at a high speed heading westbound on Dixon Road on his Yamaha motorbike, died on scene.
The driver of the minivan suffered minor injuries when her airbag deployed. She was taken to a local hospital.
The collision happened just after noon at Dixon Road and Tamarack Circle. Traffic on Dixon Road between Islington Avenue and Royal York Road will be closed in both directions until 6 p.m., Toronto Police Traffic Services said.
