Police divers recovered a body from a pond near Bolton, Ont. on Saturday night, in an area investigators were searching for a missing Brampton, Ont. woman.

A Peel Regional Police spokesperson tweeted late Saturday that divers removed a body from the pond near Regional Road 50 and Zimmerman Road.

"Peel police divers have removed a body from the pond. Identity will not be released until at least tomorrow once confirmation has been made," Const. Adam Minnion tweeted.

The news comes after police arrested a second suspect in connection with the kidnapping of 42-year-old Racquel Junio earlier in the day.

Gary Murray, 42, has been charged with kidnapping, assault and forcible confinement, police said in a release issued Saturday.

Junio's estranged husband, Macdermid Ermacora, was arrested Thursday morning after his black Ford F-350 pickup was located near Queen Street and Hansen Road in Brampton.

He was charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement and assault.

Police allege Murray is "directly" involved in the kidnapping, but they have not said what his relationship is with Ermacora.

"There are not accessory after the fact charges. We have reason to believe, based on the evidence, that he was directly involved in this kidnapping," Minnion told reporters earlier Saturday.

Police said Murray made a brief court appearance in Brampton on Saturday and he will remain behind bars.

Bail hearing

On Friday, Ermacora was pressed by a crown lawyer at a bail hearing about the whereabouts of his missing wife.

Crown attorney Steve Sheriff told a court that "this is the most serious bail hearing we've had this year."

He said efforts to locate Junio will continue "with or without (the suspect's) help."

Ermacora's bail hearing has since been postponed until Wednesday to give the Crown more time to gather evidence.

Search effort

Police say Junio was abducted from her Deerfield Crescent home in Brampton around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday after she was forced into her estranged husband's truck.

Police said on Saturday morning that they were focusing their search efforts in Bolton and in the surrounding area.

Police are requesting the public's assistance in gathering information on what happened between the time Junio was reported missing and when her estranged husband was arrested.

"We're trying our best to track the vehicle. We know the vehicle left the residence at about 1:30 a.m. on Thursday and we recovered it about 7 a.m. So there's a about a five-and-half hour window there," Minnion said.

Minnion said police have the vehicle, pictured above, in their possession.

On Thursday and Friday, investigators searched a property near Nottawa, south of Collingwood, which police said is associated with the suspect's family.

The search concluded with no leads, investigators said, but they remain hopeful Junio will be located alive.

Junio is described as being of Filipino descent, 5-feet-2 inches tall, 120 pounds with shoulder length black hair and brown eyes.
