The SIU is investigating after a Toronto man, who was tasered by police, fell off a third-floor balcony Monday morning.

Police received a call just after midnight Monday, and tracked a man wanted for domestic assault to an apartment at 1765 Weston Road, just south of Lawrence Avenue West. The man reportedly began scaling balconies when police arrived.

Daniel Wright, 42, of Toronto, fell from a third-floor balcony and was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

There's no word on the nature of his injuries.

Two subject officers and five witness officers have been identified by the SIU, the provincial agency that investigates incidents involving police when there is a fatal injury or death.
