TORONTO - Canadian theatre-goers who've dreamed a dream of seeing "Les Miserables" again will have their wish granted next summer.

Producers have announced the Canadian premiere of a new 25th anniversary production of the hit musical will play the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto beginning July 20, 2012.

The production will feature an all-Canadian cast and new staging with re-imagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, the author of the novel that inspired the stage show.

Producers David Mirvish and Cameron Mackintosh say the search for the cast for the Canadian production will begin immediately.

The original Canadian production of "Les Miz" -- which includes the hit songs "I Dreamed a Dream" and "Do You Hear the People Sing?" -- opened in Toronto in 1989 and ran to much acclaim for 63 weeks.

The musical has returned to the city to much success several times since, the last time being 2005.
