CALEDON, Ont. - Provincial police say two people are facing charges in the death of a man found seriously injured beside a road in Caledon.

The 38-year-old man was found Thursday morning on The Gore Road north of Mayfield Road suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Police and paramedics were unable to revive Devinder Kumar of Brampton and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shortly after the incident, police arrested a man witnesses said had been walking away from the scene. He was treated in hospital for minor injuries not related to his arrest.

Police say the investigation led them to make a second arrest in the case and are asking anyone who saw suspicious behaviour in the area to contact Caledon provincial police.

Marlon Nurse, 29, of Caledon and Darryl Plummer, 25, of Brampton are each charged with first-degree murder.
