The father of a missing Woodbridge, Ont. baby who is missing and presumed dead is facing a host of new charges after making an appearance in an Ontario courtroom on Friday.

Ricky Doodhnaught was charged with failing to provide the necessities of life, indignity to a human body and violating a custody order in connection to the disappearance of his son George, who went missing in late October.

Doodhnaught was also charged on Friday with dangerous driving, fleeing from police and failing to stop after a collision.

While York Regional Police continue to search for the child, they say their investigation indicates that the child, who would have been about 10 weeks old, died two months ago.

Police have been searching for missing baby George since late November. He was last seen on Oct. 31 at a doctor's appointment in Woodbridge.

On Nov. 24, Doodhnaught escaped when police and case workers arrived at a Comfort Inn in Rexdale with a court order to collect two children under his care.

An 11-month-old child was taken into the care of case workers at that time but police said baby George was not with Doodhnaught.

Doodhnaught was arrested on Dec. 6.

The child's mother Nadia Ayyad, 23, was arrested on Dec. 21 and charged with indignity to a dead body, failing to provide the necessities of life and obstructing police in relation to the disappearance of her baby.

Ayyad was also charged with abduction in contravention of a custody order in relation to the baby's older brother, whom police safely recovered on Nov. 24.

Doodhnaught is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 17.
