Toronto police are investigating a shooting at a downtown hotel overnight that sent one man to hospital.

Police are still trying to piece together what happened, but believe the incident occurred at around 4 a.m. in the washroom of a nightclub at the Westin Harbour Castle hotel on the city's lakefront. The nightclub is not owned by the hotel.

The 30-year-old man showed up at St. Michael's Hospital early Sunday morning with a single gunshot wound to the leg. He is not co-operating with police.

Police said the wounds were non-life-threatening.

Toronto Police Staff Sgt. Barbara McLean said it is not certain whether the victim knew the shooter.

There are no suspects and the incident is still under investigation.
